What our customers are saying
"Take a look at Timur Islamov's ADO and DAO components (http://www.islamov.com). They drop in as a Tdataset descendant, so you can
use all the standard GUI Borland Data Components (and compatibles) and they work, without using BDE at all. I have used them in both BCB4 and Delphi3-4, and they can save you a lot of time and headaches. They cost $49 in object only, and $99 with full source code. There's a discount if you buy both, and there's an eval version you can download to check it out. For just Access databases the DAO components (Diamond Access) are the most efficient. They are very fast, as fast as the best native Microsoft implementations. If you need to easily change databases, the ADO components (Diamond ADO) are the way to go."
"With source Deersoft ADO costs the same $99 as www.islamov.com's Diamond ADO that has been shipping since November 98. But it's nice when you have more choices, of course.
Diamond DAO (the similar Jet/Access component) has been very solid for well over a year. The Diamond ADO and DAO stuff have been working well for me with D4 and BCB4. So I'm a little partial to Islamov's stuff, and also wouldn't consider an object-only VCL component as anything more than a trial version anyway. You gotta have source."
"It's pretty basic. I like Islamov's Diamond ADO components (like his DAO ones) because they just drop in as TDataset descendants and all the Borland data controls work. I'm not in need of the D5 EE stuff, either. It beats a raw ADO import like Calvert is doing."
